The Role
Overview
Develop and optimize CNC programs for multi-axis Haas, Brother, and DMG Mori machines.

Tasks
-Computes cutting speeds, feed rates and dimensions -Determine the sequence of machine operations and select the proper cutting tools needed to machine workpieces -Support with set-up documentation creation and control -Setup and adjust CNC Machines -Support the development of machines parts, tools, tooling and machine fixtures -Maintain a clean, clutter-free workstation. -Participate in Continuous Improvement activities -Work with Quality dept. to interpret layout data -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. -Ensure the maximization of new part development -Comply with safety policies and procedures. -Develop and optimize CNC Programs for Haas, Brothers, and DMG Mori CNC Machines -Prepares and pre-sets all tools needed for machining operations -Inform the Supervisor of any equipment problems or any other problems. -Perform equipment/maintenance checks -Ensure/verify machining programs - to ensure compliance to drawing and specification requirements -Perform updates/improvements to programs to eliminate errors, and retest programs to check that problems have been solved -Support Set Up employees through normal trouble shooting issues -While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. -Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints

What You Bring
-Able to read and understand inspection tools -Preferred experience with Haas, Brother and DMG Mori CNC Machining Centers -Able to participate in a collaborative environment. -Working knowledge of Horizontal Mills -Working knowledge of Vertical CNC Mills (3 and 4 Axis) -Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work efficiently and effectively; self-motivated; self-starter. -Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. -Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. -Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. -Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. -Must be conscientious, diplomatic, and detail oriented. -Work independently and as part of a team. -CNC programming -Able to understand material handling techniques to package parts off CNC as necessary -HS Diploma/GED -Must pass a company background check and drug screen. -The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. -Working knowledge of all CNC screens and functions
