The Role

Overview

Processes orders, moves and inspects inventory, operates forklift, ensures safe warehouse ops.

Tasks

-Load finished product/orders onto trucks. Transport stock from storage to the warehouse or where needed. Load or unload material inbound or outbound. -Monitor the movement and progress of orders to ensure timely delivery. -Wear the proper safety equipment and abide by safety rules at all times. -Open bales, crates, and other containers. -Inspect goods for defects and report damaged or defective material/product to the supervisor or sales staff; no damaged product is to be sent out. -Order picking, packing, wrapping, labeling products, and shrink-wrapping orders that are palletized according to standard operating procedure, making a note to follow any special instructions on orders with customer-specific requests. -Retrieve stock to fulfill orders. -Keep work area clean, safe, organized, and maintained by following the 6 S’s (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety). -Check outgoing and incoming shipments for accuracy. -Place compiled/completed orders in the appropriate designated areas. -Operate a forklift, two-wheel hand cart, and scales. -Check orders for accuracy. -Assist in the counting of physical inventory.

What You Bring

-Forklift Certified. -Two to three years’ previous warehouse experience. -Knowledgeable in TFI/OSHA Safety requirements -Mathematical Skills -High school diploma or equivalent. -Organization Skills -Communication Proficiency, both verbal and written. -One to two years’ previous warehouse experience. -Ability to follow instructions from management.
