Maintenance Technician

Overview

On-site maintenance of mechanical, electrical & PLC systems to ensure plant uptime.

Tasks

-Execute preventive and predictive maintenance tasks—lubrication, alignment, belt replacement, motor servicing, and condition monitoring—to extend asset life. -Troubleshoot and repair electrical and PLC-driven systems, replacing components, testing circuits, and validating repairs per schematics. -Follow safety and lockout-tagout procedures, participate in root-cause analysis for repeat failures, and implement corrective actions with engineering teams. -Diagnose and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including valves, pumps, cylinders, and filtration subsystems. -Perform daily inspections, troubleshoot faults, and execute corrective actions to restore equipment to full operation and minimise downtime. -Log maintenance activities and parts usage in the CMMS; raise work orders, update status, and support spare-parts management to reduce lead times.

What You Bring

-Strong adherence to safety standards including lockout-tagout (LOTO) and PPE compliance. -Proven hands-on experience with preventive and predictive maintenance in a manufacturing environment. -Previous experience in FMCG, food processing, or heavy manufacturing sites. -Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and SOPs for equipment repair. -Experience with Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar PLC platforms. -ITI or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Maintenance or equivalent technical certification. -Training or certification in electrical safety, inverter drives, or hydraulic systems. -Familiarity with CMMS for work-order management and maintenance logging. -Working knowledge of PLC servicing and basic ladder logic troubleshooting.
