Tasks

-Review contractors' Injury Illness and Prevention Programs (IIPPs) -Test for environmental risks such as noise, gas, and ventilation levels -Collect and analyze injury and safety data; report findings to contractors and leadership -Conduct safety audits on construction sites and recommend corrective actions -Participate in pre-bid and post-award meetings as part of the OCIP team -Investigate on-site accidents and identify root causes -Supervise and mentor lower-level personnel -Monitor safety policies, procedures, and standards across multiple projects -Deliver safety training for project managers and field teams

What You Bring

Do you have a decade of hands-on construction safety management experience? Are you confident leading safety audits, investigations, and training across large-scale projects? We're looking for an experienced Safety Specialist to support our construction projects in Los Angeles, CA. This is a full-time, on-site position where you'll play a key role in promoting safe work environments and ensuring compliance across all project phases. -BCSP Certification -Certified Safety Manager (NASP) -Professional Safety Certification from a recognized institution -Certified Industrial Hygienist (ABIH) -Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field -10 years of full-time, professional construction safety management experience -Two years of college plus a Safety Certification and 2 additional years of experience -Preferred: Completion of OSHA 500 and 40-hour HAZPOWER courses -Licensed Safety Professional (NASP) -Education qualifications (one of the following):

Safety Specialist - $123,000.00 to $131,000.00– Los Angeles CA -401(k) Savings Plan: 100% match up to 3%, plus 50% of the next 2% (fully vested immediately). -Holidays: 8 paid holidays per year, including New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. -Professional Development: Up to $1,000 annually for license/certification renewals and qualifying education. -Insurance: 100% coverage for employee’s Medical, Dental, and Vision, with additional costs for dependents and enhanced plans (Kaiser and Anthem Blue Cross options). -Parking: Parking provided, up to $100/month if applicable. -PTO: 120 hours annually (vacation/sick time), accrual starts on day one, available after 30 days.
