Tasks

-Providing specialized technical input on water-related projects. -Managing structural projects, including design tasks and coordination of work with multi-disciplined engineering staff within AECOM and our joint venture partners. -Lead Structural Engineer on projects, may include reviewing project designs, plans and specifications. -Verify compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards and practices. As necessary, modifies established guidelines, devises new approaches, applies existing criteria in new ways and draws conclusions from comparative situations. -Perform condition assessments and site visits as needed.

What You Bring

-Bachelor's degree + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. -Master's degree in structural engineering. -Knowledge of current structural modeling software tools including finite element analysis. -Structural problem analysis skills (including knowledge/use of design and calculation tools and software). -Knowledgeable of other standard engineering practices, techniques, and applicable codes, such as ACI, ASIC, ASCE, AASHTO, and various USACE Engineering Manuals. -A current PE license in the State of LA, TX, or others. -Project management skills. -10 + years' experience in structural design. -Experience in preparation of proposals, technical specifications and design documents, report writing, technical engineering support, and limited support and inspection during construction. -Excellent verbal communication and writing skills, including technical report writing.
