Senior Authorised Person managing 400kV HV safety and commissioning for EA3 wind farm.

Tasks
-Producing and reviewing method statements and risk assessments -Management and/or delivery of planned and unplanned maintenance activities on electrical equipment -Become fully conversant and make sure that all works are undertaken in accordance with the RES Electrical & Mechanical Safety Rules and Safety Rule Instructions, this will include but is not limited to: -Carrying out switching, isolation and earthing duties -Operation and maintenance of HV Equipment -Keeping in close communication with HV Control and Project Lead SAP -Commissioning HV plant and equipment -Achieve and maintain Senior Authorised Person status at increasing voltages. -Liaising with external stakeholders such as DNO/NGT and asset owner -Undertaking troubleshooting and fault-finding on RES controlled plant/equipment -Preparing, issuing and cancelling safety documents -Acting as Control Engineer -Always adherence to health and safety requirements and help to maintain and improve safety standards -Maintaining the asset register -Carry out basic protection testing on HV related equipment. Complex protection relay testing is desirable -Producing final reports -Managing the interface between system boundaries with site and DNO/NGT as required -Producing maintenance plans for HV equipment -Preparing switching schedules -Carrying out inductions for sub-contractors and deliver Competent Person Training

What You Bring
-Strong approach to safe working practices -Previously worked on an offshore project -Previously held SAP authorisation under high voltage electrical safety rules at 400kV -Knowledge of Working offshore -Able to operate and maintain various types of HV plant/equipment -Basic HV protection testing -Good people skills -Previously authorised as 400kV SAP -Ability to identify problems, conduct analysis and develop solutions -Detailed knowledge of HV equipment -Ability to coordinate multiple activities whilst ensuring safety and quality are maintained -Full UK driving licence -Detailed knowledge of UK industry HV electrical safety rules -NEBOSH/IOSH Managing Safely or CITB SMSTS or equivalent -Knowledge of the key legislation underpinning UK high voltage electrical asset operation and maintenance -HV maintenance practices including HSG230 -Experience in fault finding on HV plant and equipment -HV Safe Systems of Work -Excellent communication skills -Reacting to emergencies, site outages and changing circumstances
