Senior Project Controls Manager

Tasks

-Persuading and influencing colleagues. -Managing assistant managers & managers where required by the scale of the project. -Advising on complex requirements and communicate analysis and corrective measures effectively. -Managing projects controls delivery of medium/high complexity projects/programmes. -Creating and delivering persuasive presentations to large audiences. -Leading and managing a team of professionals delivering projects controls services and responsible for staff development. -Influencing clients to accept proposals and recommendations. -Spotting and developing talented individuals. -Leading application of specific project controls methods, techniques and tools. -Directing and managing a team of professionals delivering projects controls services and responsible for staff development. -Playing a key role in multidisciplinary teams and take lead role in creating plans or analysing trends using numerical and statistical techniques. -Creating and delivering clear and professional presentations to project teams/clients. -Directing and managing application of specific project controls methods, techniques and tools with a good working knowledge of a variety of techniques on a range of project and programme complexity.

What You Bring

-Good working knowledge of EVM and project controls methodologies. -Good interpersonal skills and potential ability to form effective working relationships. -APM planning and project controls (PPC) foundation and practitioner. -Ability to contribute establishment of high performing teams. -Good knowledge of PMO and project controls tools, techniques and software (e.g. MS office and Power BI, Aconex, Primavera P6 and RiskHive). -Knowledge of PMO and project controls service delivery in one or more sectors (e.g. rail, highways, nuclear, public sector, hospitals) -Effective networking skills. -Resilient/robust in the face of challenging situations, clients, personalities. -Attention to detail. -Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products e.g. MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. -Experience supporting the delivery of a range of PMO and project controls services. -Ability to articulate complex information and ideas for a non-technical audience. -Relevant university degree (e.g. construction, engineering) (or equivalent). -Good communication and interpersonal skills. -Articulate and has potential to assimilate information quickly. -Understanding of construction/delivery lifecycle and/or consultancy. -Experience of delivering effective PMO and project controls/assurance frameworks/strategies. -Willingness to be part of a high performing team. -Experience of working on construction projects and/or consultancy. -Being able to evaluate trends and communicate analysis and corrective measures effectively in a complex project environment using numerical and statistical techniques as part of a multi-disciplinary team. -Strong communication and engagement skills.
