Forklift Site Technician

Overview

Perform routine maintenance and repair of industrial mobile equipment, primarily electric forklifts.

Tasks

-Communications - Provide information to supervisor, co-workers, and subordinates by phone, in writing, e-mail, or in person. -Timely Completion of Safety training modules. -Inspecting Equipment - Perform audits on equipment audits per the PM Planning tools schedule in Field Connect service platform. -Maintain industrial mobile equipment. -Troubleshoot equipment failures, including root cause analysis. Including research of potential warranty, rework and continuously repetitive repairs using historical equipment data available through Field Connect service platform. -Timely and accurate completion of all work orders and service records per the Concentric time standard. -Maintain accurate and timely entry of work hours in Paylocity time keeping platform. -Judgment and Decision Making - Consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate course of action. -Complete all repairs of equipment in a timely manner and by the manufacturer’s repair guidelines.

What You Bring

-All work must be completed in a safe manner. -A valid driver’s license, CDL a plus but not required. -Should have some computer skills; familiar with using a computer -Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, crouch and/or be able to move in confined areas. -Strong equipment repair, mechanical and/or electrical skills -Willing and ability to travel to multiple sites -Must be able to meet the physical requirements of a Service Technician. -Self-motivated and ability to manage time and attendance. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. -Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen. -Must have proven experience in electric Forklift Repair; Primary focus would be working on electric trucks -Hydraulics, conveyor experience is a plus -Strong communication skills to support work order documentation and customer interaction
