The Role

Tasks

-Support Accident/Incident Investigations -Maintain accurate and timely project records and documentation. -Deliver a quality product -Ensure that expenditure is in line with the budget and that resources are utilised efficiently to ensure cost control -Communicate new concepts and ideas to non-technical stakeholders -Act as a change agent, inspiring and leading a multi-disciplinary team towards a shared vision. -Management of subcontractors, including monitoring of contractor attendance and progress, providing direct instruction and support as necessary, such that contractual arrangements are achieved -Monitor effectiveness of the H&S Management System and implement improvement solutions -Implement technical information and drawings into delivery -Ensure assurance activities (audits) are undertaken and take appropriate action on findings -Help to ensure procurement plans are available in line with the overall project plans, such that material/resources/supply chain can be delivered to meet scheduled deadlines -Helps to ensure reports provide relevant information to enable informed, cost effective decisions in line with overall strategy -Provide partial accountability for all project phases: initiation, planning, design, delivery, monitoring, commissioning, and handover. -Motivate and empower the team using the resources available through training, mentoring and performance management. -Partially responsible for the safety and welfare of the general public, employees and supply chain -Understand, control and issue safety documentation -Foster a positive team culture and support the wellbeing and development of staff on-site. -Support the Project Manager/Director to achieve project goals. -Plan and ensure delivery to programme -Helps to ensure scope and package assignment supports the team in coordinated working -Coordinate with other project activities and internal functions -Upkeep of welfare requirements -Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm & keep up to date with changes in legislation -Prepare both internal/external reports and liaise with stakeholders -Maintain accurate project records (progress, daily diaries etc.) -Ensure sufficiency and competency of workforce -Lead and manage all site-based construction activities. -Promote behavioural safety -Oversee and optimise site resources and workforce. -Balance project constraints including time, cost, quality, scope, risk, and benefits to meet client expectations. -Attend periodic project reviews (PRM) and update the Digital Briefcase in accordance with GBL -Carry out periodic Safety & Environmental Tours/promote observation and safety initiatives -Follow targets/KPI’s in line with project objectives and monitor performance -Help to develop, implement and update resource allocation plans (OBS) and raise appropriate requests -Monitor compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. -Identifying, raising and reporting risks and hazards -Two way communication e.g. brief out weekly safety pack -Identify and drive personal development -Reinforce golden rules -Deliver works safely, compliantly, on time, and within budget. -Write RAMS and accept subcontractor RAMS

What You Bring

-Initiates good scope/information/configuration management principles -Good interpersonal skills that enable working relationships to be developed at all levels across the business and be able to negotiate and influence -Able to undertake work in high pressure situations with a flexible attitude -Able to communicate effectively both verbal and written with all levels of the organisation -Good understanding of the standard forms of contracts -Communicate and check understanding of daily briefings -Holds a current driving license -Holds CSCS and SSSTS or Equivalent -Experience in implementing safe systems of work -Experience in managing risks and change processes -Effective personal and social skills -Proficient on O365 -Understand and specify plant and equipment requirements -Experience of working on a variety of project types -Proficient in commercial/project management communications -A record of a solutions-based approach to problem solving -Discuss ideas and plans competently -Numerical skills -Knowledge and experience of discipline
