The Role

Overview

Lead design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

Tasks

-Manage project schedules, and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) processes. -Coordinate with clients, contractors, subconsultants, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards. -Lead and oversee the design and development of water and wastewater treatment, conveyance, and distribution projects. -Perform capacity analysis for water and wastewater systems (as applicable). -Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and design staff. -Stay current with emerging technologies, sustainability practices, and evolving industry regulations. -Prepare engineering reports, design calculations, technical specifications, drawings, and cost estimates. -Review and stamp engineering deliverables in accordance with professional licensure requirements.

What You Bring

-Valid US Driver’s License, and as a condition of employment, pass AECOM's motor vehicle records review. -Demonstrate strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail. -Sponsorship for US Employment Authorization is not available now or in the future for this position. -10+ years of experience in water/wastewater infrastructure design, including pipelines and lift stations. -Knowledge of sustainability practices, green infrastructure, and advanced treatment technologies. -Experience in construction phase engineering services. -Demonstrate a strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations. -Utilize excellent communication skills with the ability to engage clients, agencies, and stakeholders . -Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field and 8 years of relevant experience in municipal water/wastewater infrastructure projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. -Demonstrate a proactive mindset and commitment to delivering high-quality, innovative solutions. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and technical presentations. -Experience leading multi-office or multidisciplinary design teams. -Master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering. -Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida. -Experience with design-build or alternative project delivery methods. -Experience with civil/environmental engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, or similar).
