Tasks

-Ensure proper monitoring and respond to issues with live environments -Build APIs, backend services and integrations that support our products -Build features and services using Kotlin, Python and front-end technologies -Mentor and coach junior engineers to meet their full potential -Work with relational and non-relational data stores -Lead the design, implementation and deployment of new features and services -Work with a cross-functional team of product managers, designers, engineers and QA

However, please note that CoStar Group is not able to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Matterport is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. You’ll be building features and services for the Matterport Platform, which acts as the glue and entry point for all other Matterport products and services. We handle billions of requests each month, so you must be familiar with building services at scale. The ideal candidate for this role will thrive in a fast-paced environment, be able to pivot when needed and have exceptional personal drive. You should be comfortable working in an API-heavy, microservices environment. When you join CoStar Group, you’ll experience a collaborative and innovative culture working alongside the best and brightest to empower our people and customers to succeed. -Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited, not for profit university or college -Track record of commitment to prior employers -A solid track record of developing testable, maintainable, well-documented code -Experience with messaging frameworks, such as RabbitMQ and Kafka -Ability to work well in an agile environment -Experience developing SaaS solutions using modern OOP languages, such as Java and/or Server-side Kotlin -8+ years of development experience, designing and delivering features and services in a cloud environment -Familiarity with Python -Experience with Autodesk Revit or other building information modeling software -Exposure to or familiarity with Microsoft stack technologies including C#, .NET core, MySQL, etc. -Familiarity with UI frameworks such as React or Angular -Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL -Experience with microservices such as Docker and Kubernetes -Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in all areas of platform development -Familiarity with Elasticsearch -Exposure to non-relational data stores such as FoundationDB

This position offers an annual salary range from $144,000 - $232,000 determined by relevant skills and experience, in addition to a generous benefits plan. This position is located in Irvine, CA and offers a schedule of Monday to Thursday in the office and the option to work from home on Friday.
