Operate press brake and punch press to fabricate metal parts per drawings.

Tasks

-Two-person tasks using assistive devices for lifting, pulling and pushing including engine stands hand trucks, pallet jacks, and hoists -Form material according to drawings using various radius dies -Inspect all work prior to passing it on to the next operation -Install and align punches and dies in proper tool station to perform required operations -Perform first piece and in progress inspection to ensure that work meets all requirements -Install and align progressive compound, forming, blanking, piercing, coining, embossing, notching and combination punches and dies -Contribute to team effort by training others in performance of fabrication tasks as needed -Monitor condition of equipment and tooling and inform supervisor or team lead when punches and dies need sharpening. -Perform preventative maintenance procedures -Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations -Document actions by completing production and quality forms -Adjust stroke, feed equipment, knock out devices, work holders and safety devices -Push/Pull more than 40 pounds on an occasional basis with assistance -Select dies, tools, punches for proper thickness of material -Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results

What You Bring

-Bending/stooping – frequent -Ideally has up to one year of experience working as a metal fabricator in a manufacturing environment -Is able to read and interpret basic to moderately complex drawings and bills of material. -Work is classified as Medium - Heavy Physical Demand Level (PDL) by the US Dept of Labor's Dictionary of Occupational Titles -Walking – continuous -Squatting/kneeling – frequent -Griping, manipulation, fingering –continuous -Carry up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis up to 25 feet -Lift up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis floor to waist -Has experience using small hand and power tools -Possesses basic computer skills -Push/Pull up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis -Variable hand/power tool use – frequent -Lift up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis floor to waist with assistance -Standing – continuous -Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English -Lifting – frequent -Frequencies - Occasional (1-33%); Frequent (34-66%); Continuous (67-100%) -Holds a High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development -Can safely operate fabrication machinery such as press brake, punch press, etc.
