Design electrical and wire‑harness layouts for HVAC systems using SolidWorks, Revit, NEC.

Tasks

-Apply and interpret the National Electrical Code (NEC) and ensure designs comply with UL 60335-2-40 standards. -Route cables and harnesses within 3D assemblies, validating bend radius, clearance, and serviceability. -Collaborate with mechanical and controls engineers to ensure spatial integration and manufacturability. -Maintain revision control and documentation through PDM/PLM systems. -Support prototype builds and resolve design-related electrical issues during testing or production. -Develop and maintain electrical box, control-panel, and wire-harness layouts for HVAC systems. -Produce 2D schematics, 3D models, and Revit MEP deliverables using SolidWorks Electrical (or CAD) and Revit. -Create detailed BOMs (Bills of Materials) including wire types, connectors, terminals, and protective devices. -Participate in design reviews, DFMEA, and risk-assessment activities.

What You Bring

As part of this expansion, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to develop detailed electrical and wire-harness designs that ensure product reliability, safety, and manufacturability. The role involves electrical box and panel layout, conduit and cable routing, and creation of 2D / 3D models and Revit files supporting full product lifecycle documentation. -Familiarity with wire harness manufacturing and panel fabrication processes. -Exposure to UL/CSA certification documentation. -3–6 years of experience in electrical or wire-harness design for HVAC, mechanical, or industrial systems. -Proficiency in SolidWorks Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical, and Revit MEP. -Working knowledge of NEC and UL 60335-2-40. -Experience generating BOMs, panel layouts, and wiring schematics. -Ability to design and route wire harnesses and cable assemblies within 3D models. -Associate degree in Electrical Design/Drafting (or related field); Bachelor’s preferred. -Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
