Overview
Manage roofing project specs, design, and client coordination for remediation projects

Tasks
-Prepare design briefs for Client approval -Wind uplift calculation -Preparation of technical specifications for roofing remediation projects -Coordinate the preparation of CAD drawings -Coordinate interdepartmental design requirements -Schedule mockups and field testing -Direct the collecting of field data required for the preparation of repair specifications, drawings and tendering -Preparation of design tender documents -Prepare condition reports -Reviewing shop drawings -Reviewing drawings and specifications to verify that the scope of work is sufficient and to ensure that all required details, materials, methods, etc. are correctly specified -Coordinate and attend project meetings -Monitor Client scope and document changes as needed -Assisting with the compilation of both field and report data in order to prepare specification documents and drawings

What You Bring
-Completion of a post-secondary degree/diploma in an Engineering or Architectural Technology program (or another related field) -General construction knowledge (i.e. how buildings go together) -Experience with specifying roofing systems -Good oral and written English communication skills -Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities -Able to work individually and in a team setting -Exceptional attention to detail, specifically in accuracy of calculations and completeness of data collection and notation -Self-motivating and multi-tasking ability -Experience carrying out project management functions with a focus on roofing remediation projects -Must possess the ability to read Architectural Blueprints -Minimum of 4 years’ roofing working experience
