The Role

Overview

Supervises industrial mechanical/piping installation projects and leads craft crews.

Tasks

-Responsibilities include verification of maintaining associated codes as required per project. -Ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. -Maintain strict adherence to the company's and regulatory policies. -Utilize appropriate computer software for project planning, execution and tracking -Assist with the implementation/interpretation of safety programs. -Interface with Management to ensure all company, client, and project policies and procedures are adhered to. -Follow oral and written directions. -Mentor craft personnel for professional development. -Provide leadership and management for craftsmen, ensuring to organize and lay out work for crews. -Thoroughly review scope documents, drawings, and specifications. -Plan, coordinate and/or supervise construction activities of craft employees -Provide prioritized work activity instructions to all crews and monitor their progress. -Interface with all project team members as required in the establishment of project schedules and resolving schedule problems. -Ensure that materials, drawings, manpower, specifications, tools, consumables, and equipment are available when needed. -Study project execution and tracking documents including the project execution plan, project safety plan, QA/QC plan, schedule, manpower loading projections, equipment rental schedule, installed quantity and labor tracking plan, and subcontracting strategy.
