The Role

Overview

Assist with planning and leading activities for memory care residents.

Tasks

-Facilitate group activities such as sing-a-longs, exercise classes, and gardening projects. -Help create and distribute the Lifestyle calendar and community newsletter. -Drive the community van or bus and assist residents in and out of the vehicle for outings and appointments. -Maintain positive, professional relationships with residents, families, staff, and vendors. -Support other departments during special events or as needed (e.g., front desk, dining room). -Uphold resident confidentiality and respect residents' rights. -Assist the Lifestyle Director with planning and implementing events and activities that enrich the lives of our residents. -Promote resident participation and encourage social engagement. -Decorate the community for holidays and special occasions.

What You Bring

-Must be able to lift 20 lbs. and push up to 40 lbs. -Valid First Aid Certification -Ability to work weekends and on-call shifts as needed -High school diploma or equivalent -Valid driver's license with clean driving record -Experience working with the elderly preferred -Must demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude -Ability to operate AV equipment (VCR, DVD, stereo) -Strong communication and teamwork skills
