- Ensure proper handover documentation to project team for project kick off.
- Work closely with project managers, planners, engineers and other stakeholders to understand project scope and requirements.
- Analyse project requirements, including labour, materials, and equipment, to determine accurate cost projections.
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates.
- Maintain and organise detailed records of estimates, including calculations, assumptions, and supporting documentation.
- Stay informed about current market trends, material costs, and labour rates to ensure estimates are up-to-date and competitive.
- Develop and submit competitive bids and proposals, ensuring they are comprehensive and meet client or project requirements.
- Assist in creating/updating precontract processes and procedures.
- Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring costs are accurate and competitive.
- Identify potential risks and uncertainties in project costs and incorporate contingencies to address these factors.
- Check customer enquiries to ensure that the adequate information is available to enable an accurate estimate to be made.
- Review and adjust estimates as needed based on changes in project scope, design modifications, or updated information.
- Ensure estimates and proposals comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Present detailed cost reports and estimates to management, clients, or stakeholders, highlighting key cost factors and potential areas for cost savings.

- Electrical background (Electrical construction or engineering industry).
