Lead and supervise custom enclosure design team, managing projects and ensuring quality.

Tasks

-Support and promote continuous improvement: Empowering employees in problem-solving and decision-making. -Review incoming work: Verify the accuracy of information received and coordinate the assignment of the work -Manage and mentor a team of designers focused on custom designs and personal development -Cultivate an Agile environment: Encourage standard work through agile and robust processes. -Ensure standard work and quality processes: Ensure team members follow established processes for compliance and efficiency of design work. -Monitor customer demands: Assign and prioritize resources based upon demand and capacity -Support custom enclosure product development via oversight and coordination of custom design resources in a fast paced, diverse and quality focused environment -Teamwork: Cultivate an efficient flow of work with inter-company partners: Quotations, customer service, operations, supply chain and Engineering to ensure customer requirements are met and improvements to the process are identified and improved -Create and provide reports: Monitor project status and team productivity.

What You Bring

-Respectful and team oriented -Innovative & adaptable -Ideally 8+ years of in a designing/drafting environment with at least 1-2 years of supervisor experience -Associates Degree or equivalent in design -Ability to interpret & analyze product standards & and regulations -Sheet metal experience preferred -Familiarity with JD Edwards and SolidWorks preferred -Experience in leading teams to achieve goals
