Tasks

-Supporting team performance by sharing knowledge and best practices at all levels -Technical report writing in response to water pollution incidents -Undertaking field monitoring works including water quality measurements and sampling. -Provision of accurate and timely information to line management. -Attending and investigating water pollution incidents across Greater London/Thames Valley region.

What You Bring

-Motivated, friendly and confident interacting with clients. -Laboratory analysis in environmental monitoring, and environmental compliance (desirable). -Analytical and numerical skills with the ability to pay close attention to detail. -Understanding of the role of regulators such as the Environment Agency (desirable). -Competent user of Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word -Degree in a Biological or Environmental Sciences discipline. -A full clean UK driving licence. -Able to work independently and as part of a team following precise protocols. -Experience in scientific fieldwork, and an enthusiasm for working outdoors in all weathers. -Understanding of water chemistry and the indicative parameters.
