Design 3D transportation infrastructure drawings using OpenRoads per AASHTO standards

Tasks

-Utilizes technical manuals to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable standards such as AASHTO. -Applies standard drafting/design principles and theories to complete assignments. -Makes required changes, additions, and/or revisions, as directed by immediate supervisor. -Compiles data and performs dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings. -Works closely with other Designer/Drafters and Engineers to ensure a coordinated design. -Utilizes a CAD workstation to prepare 3D engineering drawings consisting of standard arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, etc., from rough sketches and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures.

What You Bring

-Reads and understands orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) designs and supplier/manufacturer drawings. -2-year technical degree or other related certification of completion from an accredited designer/drafter course (or equivalent) is preferred, and typically 4+ years of related experience -Demonstrated proficiency with OpenRoads 3D Modeling is preferred, but not required. -Ability to interpret and ensure conformance to applicable standards such as AASHTO and relevant standards/guidelines, as well as company policies and procedures. -6+ years of relevant experience using OpenRoads on FDOT Transportation Infrastructure projects is preferred.
