Automation Technician

Overview

Install, program, and commission HVAC control systems for building management.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Complete typical installation hardware design and software programming using established standards as required -Attend job progress meetings as required -Develop long-term relationships with contractors, clients, consultants, and subcontractors -Responsible for graphics building -Adhere to safety standards -Check out of HVAC control systems and wiring -Document processes for the Building Management Control Direct Digital Control Systems -Complete the loading, device verification, and commissioning of all system controllers as required -Perform site-specific training for owner/operator on the total system in full of assistance -Provide detailed information to communicate design and operation to customers and subcontractors

What You Bring

-Minimum of a technical Associates Degree with 1-2 years of field experience or 3 years of equivalent related experience in the HVAC industry -Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required. -Strong customer and communication skills to a non-technical audience -Must have relevant technical hands on systems design and commissioning of digital HVAC controls systems -Must work in a team environment -Niagara AX certified preferred -Must be able to stoop, kneel, and climb ladders when needed -Must have experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
