Overview

Fit and bend tubes, install and maintain nuclear instrumentation per safety standards.

Tasks

-Instrumentation installation: Assemble and fit components including valves, gauges, sensors, and control devices. -Maintain a clean work area and ensure good housekeeping. -Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other trades to meet project requirements. -Tube bending and fitting: Fabricate, bend, and install tubing for nuclear instrumentation systems with high accuracy. -System maintenance: Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure optimal system performance. -Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, inspections, and modifications. -Compliance and safety: Follow nuclear industry codes, standards, and site-specific safety procedures.

What You Bring

-Proficiency with tube bending tools, measuring instruments, and precision equipment. -Availability for shift work, if needed. -Ability to express thoughts orally. -Ability to support other crafts as requested. -Capacity to reason and make sound decisions. -Successful completion of all training including, Radiation Worker Training, Plant Access Training, Fitness for Duty, etc. -Minimum 3 years of tube bending/fitting experience in industrial or nuclear environments. -Ability to pass all background and screening requirements, including drug and/or alcohol screening. -Prior nuclear power plant experience, highly desired. -High School diploma or equivalent. -Experience with stainless steel and exotic alloys used in nuclear applications. -Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. -Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety. -Willingness to work overtime, including shift work, weekends, and holidays as needed. -Strong knowledge of nuclear safety standards and quality assurance practices. -Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions. -Ability to read and write complex documents in English. -Strategic thinking and planning for growth. -Visual acuity, balancing, stooping, reaching, walking, manual dexterity, grasping, feeling, hearing, talking. -Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. -Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and piping diagrams. -Ability to obtain and maintain knowledge of technical manuals and procedures. -Knowledge of relevant processes and procedures. -Must be able to obtain nuclear unescorted access, including fitness for duty requirements. -3+ years of experience. -Ability to assemble and disassemble objects and operate small equipment and power tools. -Previous nuclear industry experience is mandatory. -Certification in Instrument Fitting (i.e. NCCER, EPRI, or equivalent). -Ability to work at varying heights, in cramped quarters, extreme heat and/or cold, and loud environments (above 89 decibels). -Ability to pass specific training and qualifications. -Ability to walk job sites and climb. -Team-oriented mind set with effective communication skills -Capacity to think, concentrate, and focus for long periods.
