Overview

Lead electrical/mechanical projects to boost reliability, efficiency and data capture.

Tasks

-Plan, design, and oversee engineering projects involving electrical, mechanical, IT/data systems. -Lead or assist in testing, validation, and commissioning of systems. -Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation. -Be the responsible person for shutdown/operational downtime management -Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders. -Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource plans. -Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to innovation in engineering practices. -Review effectiveness of projects. -Support procurement activities by specifying equipment and evaluating vendor proposals. -Be accountable for each project and ensure daily management during implementation phase. -Coordinate with internal departments, contractors, and suppliers to ensure project alignment. -Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and technical evaluations. -Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations. -Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during design, installation, and commissioning phases.

-Professional Qualification: Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering -Self-motivation, resilience, staff development and coaching. -Planning and resourcing experience using Microsoft Projects -Manufacturing industry experience -Good understanding of Permit to Work Systems -IOSH Managing Safely -Registered with a professional body and aiming towards chartered status -Gained experience in developing relationships with internal/external stakeholders
