Senior Chemist/Data Validation Specialist - Part Time

Tasks

-Provide training and guidance to entry and mid-level chemists. -Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with limited supervision. -Coordinate with Project Managers on a regular basis. -Perform peer review of data validation reports and other project documents to ensure accuracy and consistency with project requirements. -Develop data validation procedures for unique analyses not addressed specifically in existing guidance documents. -Lead laboratory solicitation, evaluation, and selection tasks. -Summarize analytical data quality in Data Usability Assessments (DUAs) at the conclusion of the project. -Validate analytical data in accordance with published guidelines (DoD, NFG, Regional EPA)

What You Bring

-BA/BS in Chemistry or related scientific field of study -10+ years working in an environmental analytical laboratory and/or performing data validation -Familiarity with automated data review systems such as EDMS, FUDSChem, or EPA EXES -Experience writing CERCLA Sampling and Analysis Plans and UFP-QAPPs for EPA and DoD clients. -BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education -Experience with validation of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) data -Experience with Department of Defense Quality Systems Manual for Environmental Laboratories Version 6.0 -Familiarity with Earth Soft's EQuIS database program -Experience with EPA National Functional Guidelines for Data Review -Experience validating data in accordance with Department of Defense Data Validation Guidelines and Modules -Understanding of operation and use of analytical laboratory equipment (e.g., ICP, ICP-MS, HPLC, GC, and/or GC/MS)
