Overview
Develops and manages cost estimates for life science construction projects.

Tasks
-Continue to build and maintain a detailed and up-to-date cost data library -Maintain organized documentation of all cost estimation data and activities -Support the preparation of project bids and proposals -Partner with project managers and engineers to collect and validate key project information -Monitor project spending to ensure alignment with approved budgets -Prepare clear, detailed reports and presentations on cost estimates for stakeholders -Perform cost-benefit analyses to support effective budget allocation and decision-making -Develop accurate and comprehensive cost estimates covering materials, labor, equipment, and other project expenses -Review drawings, equipment lists, and project plans to identify cost elements -Conduct ongoing market research to track trends in material and labor pricing -Update and refine cost estimates as project scope or conditions evolve

What You Bring
-Proven ability to interpret and analyze complex project data -Bachelor’s degree in finance, engineering, construction management, or a related field; equivalent experience in estimating may be considered -Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal communication skills -Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines -Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills -Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cost estimating, with a strong preference for MEP cost estimating experience in the Life Sciences sector -Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power BI, etc. -Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail -Professional certification from AACE, PMI, or a similar organization preferred -In depth knowledge of research and data analysis methods and estimation formulas -Solid understanding of financial and accounting principles related to project costs and project management principles
