The Role

Overview

Provide H&S advice, conduct investigations, audits, reporting and support in a manufacturing plant.

Tasks

-Plan and undertake audits as per the established audit schedule. -Undertake and contribute to H&S projects. -Data evaluation and production of monthly and ad hoc reports. -Provide competent support, advice, and guidance on safety legislation and good practices to all levels of the business. -Oversee incident and near miss investigations, providing the necessary input to ensure that the true root cause is identified and appropriate preventative action(s) are put in place. -Write and review internal health and safety documentation.

What You Bring

-In-depth knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act and associated legislation and ACOPS. -Intermediate standard of IT, including competent use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). -Preferably have had experience within a manufacturing environment within a health & safety role. -NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent qualification preferred, but minimum NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety required. -Demonstration of professional competence and development through providing evidence of continuing professional development. -Ability to positively influence others. -ISO 45001 Internal Auditor (preferred but not essential).
