NY State Solar - Senior Permitting Associate

Tasks

-Lead and mentor permitting associates through training on regulatory processes, application quality, and -Build and maintain strong relationships with municipal, county, and state permitting authorities, including -Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal teams, including Management, Sales, Accounting, -Review and supervise all permitting applications for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with local, -Coordinate with the Operations team to ensure accurate project information is relayed throughout the solar -Maintain and update project management databases. -Anticipate and proactively mitigate permitting risks, delays, or denials; negotiate permit conditions with AHJs -Oversee Department of Buildings permitting processes.

What You Bring

-Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. -Must have permitting experience within Long Island and/or Westchester. -Strong attention to detail and time management abilities. -Notary experience is a strong plus. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). -Prior experience in project coordination is required. -Expeditor License is a plus-preferred
