Assist in design, drafting, and field work for land development and transportation projects.

Tasks

-Preparing complete submission packages, design reports, supporting calculations, cost estimates, project schedules, and other duties -CAD drafting and design software to develop construction plans for Subdivision, Commercial, Institutional and Infrastructure projects -Coordinating design components with other disciplines, and possible work with other offices (possibly involving some travel) -Collecting field data to support engineering projects -Assisting with construction site observation and meetings

What You Bring

-Experience in a design, drafting or field inspection role within a land development or construction environment -As the successful candidate, you are a self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and take pride in your work -Working knowledge of AutoCAD Map and GIS is an asset -Familiarity with subdivision, site plan and/or municipal engineering drawings -Knowledge of the local geographic area and area municipality design standards is an asset -Active Engineer Intern (EI) license by Louisiana Professional Engineering and Land Surveying Board (LAPELS) or ability to be licensed within 6 months -Computer literacy in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, MS Teams, Excel, and other standard office software is an asset -A graduate of a College or University program, ideally in civil technology /civil engineering or related field
