Tasks

-Prepares reports and other work related documents in a timely and accurate manner -Implement internal firestop policies/procedures and technical processes, including the review of Life Safety Drawings, specifications, firestopping submittals, UL systems, and special inspection reports. -Maintain relationship and background knowledge of the current code and firestopping requirements with building officials, state officials, accreditation and auditing agencies and apply it to the business plan for this service area. -Manage client and vendor relationships -Preparing reports and other work related documents

What You Bring

-Computer Proficiency -Exceptional safety and quality work awareness -Must have International Firestop Council Inspectors certificate, or FM or UL (DRI) test passed with an 80% or higher or be capable of passing one within 30 days. -Minimum two years’ experience performing firestopping inspections -Dependable and reliable with strong work ethic -Experience with firestop systems and fire assembly ratings -Attention to detail -Problem solving skills -Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs -Understands and utilizes safe work practices -Must have a valid driver`s license -Familiar with reporting tools used in this industry -Knowledge and experience of the inspection and reporting process as defined by the IBC -Experience with construction joints firestopping, penetration firestopping, curtainwall firestopping, and UL assemblies -High School diploma or equivalent -Experience training and supervising technicians -Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) -Familiarity with the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) -Ability to follow directions -Ability to travel to project sites and to the service areas of the company on a national level
