Tasks
-Aid the technical report writers in preparation of EMI/EMC test plans, test procedures and test reports. -Become familiar with applicable standards, company manuals and appropriate technical literature. -Establish appropriate test programs by reviewing the job folder and applicable standards. -Interpret test results, provide data analysis and summarize results through technical report writing. -Determine compliance with appropriate standards and notify client of any areas in which the product is not in compliance or of any changes in project scope or specifications. -Review of test reports generated to ensure integrity of report.

Candidates must possess the following traits Applus+ Keystone, a regulatory compliance test lab located in Durham, NC, is currently seeking candidates for an EMC Test Engineer position. The successful candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent character, and a commitment to producing high-quality work. We are looking for someone who can work independently, is self-motivated, and can manage their time effectively. -Ability to lift and handle equipment weighing up to 75 pounds. -Ability to apply and understand advanced concepts of electrical and/or mechanical nature. -Communicates clearly, proactively and professionally. -Become proficient with TILE software, LabView and other test software. -At least five year of EMC experience. -Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer. Citizenship must permit compliance with the requirements of ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations). -Effective at multitasking. -Ability to use test equipment such as EMI receivers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, RF amplifiers, power meters, B.C.I clamps, CDNs and LISNs with various antennas. -Proficient with MS Office. -Understand EMC design theory, including detailed theoretical knowledge in the technical areas of shielding, filtering, grounding, bonding, cabling, gasketing, waveguides, and printed circuit boards. -Be as comfortable working with tools as working on a keyboard. -Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods while conducting tests. -Self-driven problem solver.
