Diagnose, maintain and repair material handling equipment in the field.

Tasks
-Perform all service tasks as assigned by the Material Handling Service Manager or the Material Handling Service Department Foreman. -Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly manner. -Maintain and care for department tools, equipment, and vehicles. -Perform basic/complex power equipment diagnostics to determine repair needs. -Maintain a quality of work metric of 98% (% of work completed right the first time). -Participate in Service Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge. This may also include training related industry-specific technologies. -Mentor and oversee apprentices. -Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments. Must maintain thorough understanding of Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) systems and standards, and a commitment to a safe working environment, ensuring all employees and customers are kept safe at all times. -Work within budgets and approvals provided by the Service Manager. -Perform preventative maintenance on equipment (such as forklifts, stackers, electric carts, electric tow trucks, transporters). -Ensure knowledge and compliance of proper procedure for disposal of hazardous waste material. -Prepare all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments (Work Order submitted immediately at completion of job). -Utilize drill presses, grinders, air compressors, and common hand/ power tools to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on material handling equipment. -Maintain current product knowledge of equipment specific to industry/branch location. -Work within the guidelines set by the directors and managers. -Accurately record all work done for customer and warranty records. -Maintain a high level of productivity, efficiency, and gross margin. -Perform customer, manufacturer, or government inspections on equipment. -Diagnose and repair all related systems (disassembly, assembly, and repair).
