Manage design-build food & beverage facility projects from concept to commissioning.

Tasks
-Finalize procurement plan -Define project assumptions / exclusions -Managing projects from planning through commissioning including developing key success criteria for each project and ensuring the success criteria are achieved -Develop RFI -Develop preliminary PM/Eng/CM/Start-up support cost estimate -Coordinate all project communication -Managing permit, code and regulatory approvals -Facilitate and manage food safety risk assessments -Facilitate and manage client and 3rd party design reviews -Manage bid process fairly and professionally and review and approve bid packages -Maintain Project Meeting notes -Develop and issue monthly reports -Organizing construction trades and administering subcontracts -Review and approve monthly supplier invoices and client billing -Utilize multiple software programs (MS Office, CAD, Navisworks, MS Project, SharePoint, etc.) -Update project forecasting tool monthly -Managing project budget and expense approvals -Develop and implement lessons learned for project -Develop preliminary construction cost estimates – site and building -Managing in-house and consulting design teamwork product -Determine project definition deliverables -Maintain “Outstanding Items Needs” list -Develop and maintain submittal and RFI processes -Prepare purchase/work authorization. -Managing project punch-list inspection -Managing contract and change order administration -Assembling and maintaining complete project records and close-out documents -Researching project management best practices -Interfacing with client, working in client facilities and construction sites. -Facilitate project interactive planning sessions -Define kick-off meeting agenda -Establishing design criteria; reviewing design and construction phase documents -Refine and update budget forecast -Develop project outline specifications -Determine project permitting needs -Develop preliminary procurement plan (preparation of bid packages, bid tabulation, writing of purchase orders and subcontracts) -Review and approve engineering deliverables -Providing on-site supervision and coordinate design team on-site support activities -Maintain client SharePoint site -Overseeing equipment installations -Develop conceptual layout – understanding of facility personnel and materials flows, critical adjacencies -Assemble and evaluate potential project bidders -Assisting with the development of project scope, budget, schedule, and critical path elements -Develop medium engineering services proposal

What You Bring
-Our projects are located throughout the United States and Canada, and this is a position that you will need to work collaboratively with owners, A/E teams, subs, building officials, etc. regularly at the client’s facilities and construction sites. Overnight travel requirement will be not less than 50% of any given time of the year. -Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. -Basic understanding of AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and other design software -4-7 years of experience within a design-build, General Contractor company working with multiple in-house engineer disciplines, architects, designers, etc. -Attention to detail, accuracy and deadlines -At times, standing and walking the jobsite over rough terrain can be expected -Must be able to lift-up to 15 pounds at times. -Degree in Construction Management / Architecture / Engineering -4-7 years as a Project Manager with proven track record of successful project management and demonstrated success delivering numerous projects delivered on time, meeting requirements, with high team satisfaction. -Must meet overnight travel requirement of not less than 50% (overnight travel of 70-120 nights out of town annually) of any given time of the year -Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills -4-7 years of experience with MEP industrial construction projects, preferably food and beverage or pharmaceutical projects. -Familiarity with sanitary environments is a plus -4-7 years of experience with Building construction, Project scheduling, Construction estimating, and Construction Safety.
