Tasks

-Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies, codes and procedures. -Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities. -Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records. -Prepares and presents technical information and reports to team members and management. -Reviews all purchased products or components and provides input to the decision of whether the product has been vetted by ACCO for future purchases from the vendor. -Directs technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities. -Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities. -Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management. -Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component.

What You Bring

-Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. -Regularly required to walk, climb stairs, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl -Current certification in accordance with AWS QC-1 as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and /or ICC Mechanical – Commercial Certification preferred. -Proactivity / Initiative: Recognizes what needs to be done and accomplishes it in a manner appropriate for one’s level/position and with minimal supervision. -Specific vision abilities required by this job includes Jaeger (J1) vision annually. -Seeking at least 5 years of experience in Quality Control with a minimum of 3 years focused on ASME B31 piping codes, industrial and commercial construction, fabrication, welding, non-destructive testing, and/or other similar fields. -Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. -Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds -Teamwork: The ability to effectively work toward common goals with others by supporting, encouraging, and sharing information in an authentic and approachable manner. -Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. -Maintains a working knowledge of codes and specifications for current industry quality standards. -Problem-Solver: Ability to identify, analyze, and solve a problem in support of personal, group, department, or organizational objectives. -Insight: The ability to gather and make sense of information that suggests new possibilities. -Regular & routine attendance.
