The Role

Overview

Design/commission airport power, lighting, automation; create CAD/Revit drawings; assist engineers.

Tasks

-Assisting engineers in broad design activities and calculations (i.e. field electric centres (FEC), airport runway lighting, electrical distribution systems, and automation system layouts). -Assisting engineers with construction shop drawing reviews. -Applying electrical engineering principles and techniques to provide power, controls and automation engineering and design services. -Preparation of drawings using Auto CAD and Revit. -Development of coordination and arc flash studies using ETAP software. -Development of factory acceptance test (FAT) and software acceptance test (SAT) checking procedures.

What You Bring

-Knowledge of electrical distribution system analysis such as coordination and arc flash studies and ETAP software is an asset. -Excellent written and oral communication skills. -Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. -1+ years of related experience. -Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, or Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology. -Valid driver’s license. -Proficiency in using Autodesk software, including AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and Revit. -Knowledge of electrical engineering design, including FEC, Motor Control Centres (MCC), power and lighting distribution panels, single line diagrams, lighting schedules and layouts is an asset. -Committed team player, and the ability to work independently. -Ability to travel within Canada.
