Tasks

-Assist in recruiting top engineering talent who align with the team’s technical excellence and company culture. -Deliver transportation projects that improve mobility, safety, and quality of life in local communities. -Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team performance. -Oversee the design and execution of highway engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements. -Implement and oversee quality control processes and conduct technical audits to ensure high standards. -Ensure effective resource allocation, adequate staffing, and utilization to meet project and team goals. -Engage with dynamic groups such as the Community Impact and Fun Committees, Fisher Minds (ERG), and the Employee Advisory Group -Maintain effective communication with project managers, clients, and cross-functional teams. -Contribute to the organization's technical strategy and help forecast future technical needs. -Serve as a technical lead, guiding the team on best practices, decisions, and troubleshooting as needed. -Foster a high-performing, motivated team through clear expectations, constructive feedback, mentoring, and career development. -Stay current with transportation design trends and emerging technologies, integrating them into project solutions.

What You Bring

-Proficiency in MS Office; MicroStation preferred -Driven to own projects, prioritize effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment -B.S. degree in Civil Engineering -Prior staff management preferred -8-15 years’ experience in civil transportation engineering -Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred or ability to obtain it -Proven ability to deliver quality work through critical thinking, problem-solving, and sound judgment -You thrive in a culture that celebrates fun and fosters a relaxed, easy-going atmosphere, so you can bring the best of yourself to work every day. -Highly adaptable and proactive in meeting deliverables and deadlines -Familiarity with NYDOT design standards preferred
