Tasks

-Assist with evaluation of subsurface geotechnical and environmental data -Asist the laboratory manager in running geotechnical testing on soil samples -Assist engineers and Project Managers with the planning and execution of site characterization programs on various infrastructure and real estate development projects -Complete a presentation at the end of the Summer to include, but not limited to: -Serve in a field support role, working on technically challenging projects -Attend weekly Internship Community Sessions -Assist in performing geotechnical design/analysis and developing geotechnical recommendations

What You Bring

-Candidate should be at least 2 years into their academic career -Driver’s license highly preferred -Candidate should be enrolled in a civil or environmental engineering OR a geology or geoscience educational program (undergraduate or graduate) -Overall internship experience, technical projects review, favorite project, biggest obstacle, etc. -Be a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills -Ability to work for 3 or more consecutive months on a full-time basis (minimum of 12 weeks preferred) -Computer Skills – Strong computer literacy skills including proficiency in all MS Office software -Complete 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training course where required (not all internship programs will require this training)
