  • Documentation of communication with general contractor
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of assembling, and installing sheet metal products
  • Sets daily and weekly installation goals
  • Responsibility for entire duct detailing function.
  • Coordinates all duct deliveries with shop
  • Checks all deliveries for accuracy and completeness
  • Inspects assemblies and installation for conformance to specifications and CMS requirements.
  • Enforces disciplinary measures as needed
  • Daily communication with general contractor and CMS operations team
  • Determines crew size and hours worked
  • Supervises installation of all duct, duct accessories, equipment, and related material
  • Installing, hangers, ductwork, setting curbs, helping with crane picks, demo or cleaning site.
  • Daily inspections for installation, safety
  • Enforces code compliance
  • Project meetings record
  • Coordinates ductwork with other trades, i.e., plumbing, piping, framers, steel, fire sprinklers, etc.
  • Enforces CMS policies and procedures
  • Daily and weekly direction for crews
  • Order sheet metal materials as necessary to meet the project schedule
  • Daily work activities include: sitting, kneeling, climbing, squatting, crawling, digging, and ascending and descending ladders and scaffolding constantly throughout the work day.
  • May study schedules and estimate requirements for completion of job. Analyze and resolves work problems
  • Coordinates equipment delivery with project manager/engineer and general contractor
  • Review daily time cards
  • Weekly job site meetings

  • Basic knowledge of OSHA safety requirements as outlined in company policy.
  • Extensive knowledge of local building codes.
  • Must have the ability to layout a duct system from a blueprint and set elevations.
  • Should have experience with the following duct work: TDF, Pittsburgh and snap lock construction, TDC, Duct mate, 22mm, 35mm,S & D, Spiral, Duct Board Fiberglass, FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic ductwork)
  • Safety talk record
  • Minimum of five years commercial experience.
  • Physical requirements: Able to lift, push, pull and twist up to 50 lbs throughout the workday. Work overhead, climb ladders, work on uneven surfaces for extended periods of time.
