Tasks

-Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Safety. -Seizes an object by applying considerable force. (Grip) -Maneuvers small objects precisely by whatever means. (Pinch or pick) -Extends out and retrieves objects outside immediate range. (Reach) -Load/unload materials as needed. -Lowers the body to floor level and move about with agility. (Stoop or crawl) -Ensures that “Constructing with Integrity” is delivered by working with honesty, unity, safety, and quality of work. -Maintains body equilibrium to prevent falling from precarious situations. (Balance) -Exerts a considerable force to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion. (Pull) -Supports oneself and stays in an upright position. (Stand) -Identify hazards associated with task assignments and ask questions when clarification is needed. -Champions “The Layton Way” by delivering predictable outcomes for internal teams, external teams, and customers. -Maintain clean and safe work areas (sweep debris, gather and discard trash, scrap iron and wood, remove snow and ice). -Ascends or descends ladders, scaffolding, and steep slopes with agility. (Climb) -Raises substantial objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. (Lift) -Expresses or exchanges ideas by means of the spoken work. (Speak) -Exerts in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move object. -Presses against something with substantial steady force to thrust forward, downward, or outward. (Push) -Commits to and meets all scheduled attendance and production deadlines. -Provide support to other craft workers on project site of structural construction, heavy concrete construction, demolition, and framing. -Detects attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature, texture, tension, or force by tactile means. (Feel)

What You Bring

-Must have good depth perception, field of vision, near acuity. -At least 18 years of age. -Is subject to substantial repetitive motions of the body or its parts. -Have minimum tools associated with trade. -Perceives the nature of sounds with no less than a 40db loss @ 500 Hz, 1,000 Hz, and 2,00 Hz with or without correction. (Hear) -Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and emails. Ability to write simple correspondence and emails. -Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. -Ability to apply understanding to carrying out simple one-or-two step instructions.
