Project Engineer - Transportation (Roadway)

Overview

Design and develop roadway engineering plans for GDOT and local projects.

Tasks

-Exercising judgment in independently evaluating, selecting, and adapting standard techniques, procedures, and criteria. -Performing design calculations, preparing plans, and directing schematic designs for GDOT, local government, and other projects around the region. -Interacting with task leaders, team members, clients, and other consultants. -Mentoring direct reports, and conveying knowledge to others -Using advanced techniques, theory, precepts, and practices.

What You Bring

-Effective communication skills to engage with other employee-owners. -Bachelor of Science Degree, Civil Engineering -Experience and relationships with various TN cities and other agencies -5+ years of experience with MicroStation, Geopak (or Open Roads) and TDOT procedures -Licensed as a Professional Engineer (Tennessee preferred as starting point) -Technical Training Experience -Experience with Large Scale TDOT Projects or Programs -Advanced skills in specialized software programs -Experience with Bentley ORD
