The Role

Overview

Tasks

-Ensure appropriate communication between the Owner and Engineer to keep all parties updated on progress and quality of the project. -Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects -Maintain and prepare appropriate files, reports, and records for documentation purposes including daily reports, tracking reports, photos, close out paperwork, and other information related to the project. -Work with Contractors to ensure the project document requirements, process, schedule, and related contractual obligations are understood by Contractors performing work for Owner. -Drive and navigate vehicles or mechanized equipment including but not limited to all-terrain vehicles or watercraft -Represent AE2S in a highly professional and respectful manner at all times. -Service, repair, calibrate, regulate, fine-tune, or test machines, devices, and equipment that operate primarily based on electrical or electronic principles -Perform construction observation and administration on AE2S water reservoir, pipeline, pump station, and treatment facility projects. -Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs as well as moving the whole body such as running, maneuvering, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials -Understand and monitor project budgets and follow up on related tasks as assigned; coordinate Change Orders with the Project Manager. -Use hands and arms to handle, install, position, and manipulate or move materials -May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear -Attend meetings and follow up with other construction representatives and personnel related to scheduling, workforce, material delivery, change orders, RFI, start up, etc. -Monitor and document Contractor’s performance to ensure compliance with plan and specification requirements.

What You Bring

-Regional travel and overnight stay required. -All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations. -May require lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 75 pounds -Experience observing construction of water or wastewater treatment facility projects -Ability to walk up to 10 miles on uneven terrain -Strong written and oral communication skills -A.A.S. in fields related to Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Land Surveying or another related field -Experience observing construction of 3 pump stations or well houses -Understand duties and responsibilities under Engineer’s Agreement with the Owner, as well as the Contractor’s Contract with the Owner for each project to ensure obligations and expectations are met. -2+ years of construction observation and administration experience -Must be available to work throughout the regional area -Experience observing construction of 3 or more electrical installations
