Manufacturing Team Member – PCB Prototype Technician

Overview

Manufacture and test prototype PCBs using SMT, hand assembly, rework, and quality inspection.

Tasks

-Ensure that all work output is manufactured and inspected to acceptable quality standards. -Carry out work in the correct order. -Maintain time and attendance to company standards. -PCB components inspection -Interface with the production management system. -Ensure that the housekeeping of their work area is to the desired level. -Work equipment / machinery to proscribed procedures and in a safe manner. -Report any concerns to the Shift Supervisor -Follow the prescribed production and quality procedures. -Inspect the work in accordance with the critical characteristics. -Carry out all maintenance within the stated period. -Observe Health and Safety regulations as laid down in company procedures.

-Self-disciplined and able to work with the minimum of supervision. -Excellent workmanship and attention to detail. -Ability to train others in use of equipment and process techniques. -Ability to interpret manufacturing instructions, specifications, and drawings. -Ability to work in a fast-paced high technology production environment. -Ability to work as a member of a team and assist in the smooth running of the department to meet required output. -PCB Rework -Good communication skills. -Able to work 2 shift rotations - when required. -Ability to carry out daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly maintenance on equipment and machinery within the department -Previous experience in electronic manufacturing or manufacturing environment, preferred but not essential as full training is given. -Understanding of assembly drawing component and Bill of material -Ability to interpret electronic component codifications and specifications to confirm correct application. -To be fully conversant with I.P.C. and be able to work to relevant quality standards. -Can demonstrate a high level of initiative and ability to work independently. -PCB Assembly (Conventional and SMT) -Ability to operate equipment and software packages for Pick and Place machines, Printers, Reflow oven, DI water and Cleaning Plant. -Good Timekeeping and attendance.
