The Role

Overview

Conduct and manage field surveys, ensuring quality, safety, and data flow.

Tasks

-Manage information flow from field to office and prepare clear, concise, and accurate field notes, records, and calculations. -Ensure implementation of quality assurance, safety, and policy compliance. -Field completion of various types of surveys focusing on legal surveys, municipal construction stake out, roads, structures etc., topographic surveys, high precision scanning surveys, drone flights, and Upstream Oil and Gas surveys.

What You Bring

-Candidates should have the ability to travel and work out of town in remote areas. -Experience working independently with good communication skills. -Experience with Underground Utility Locating and ATVs is an asset but not required. -Two-year technical diploma in Geomatics or Civil Engineering with at least 3-5 years of previous experience in a similar role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. -Willing to work in various environmental conditions with varied terrain. -Valid (or in progress) Class 5 driver’s license. -Competent with robotics total stations, Trimble GPS, and drones.
