Business Improvement Analyst

Overview

Analyze railway asset data and build PowerBI reports to improve performance.

Tasks

-Collaborate across diverse teams to generate solutions to address asset reliability and performance challenges. -Design, develop and maintain PowerBI reporting tools and processes. -Provide support to analyse asset reliability and condition. -Ensure data integrity and monitor reporting quality. -Proactively engage with internal stakeholders to understand needs and requirements. -End-user mindset: To engage with users to fully understand underlying needs and to train and coach users. -Provide support to undertake smaller and larger pieces of statistical and/or operational analysis to inform asset management decisions, within compressed timeframes.

What You Bring

Friendly communicator with strong interpersonal skills, supported by a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in IT, Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data Science, or Finance. This role is suited for someone who enjoys analysing data and drawing insights to improve asset performance and management strategy. You'll be part of a small, dynamic team with a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. We are looking for a skilled and analytical professional with a passion drawing insight from complex dataset, and who can effectively communicate insights to a wide range of stakeholders -Robust systems experience and understanding of business intelligence tools: Power BI, - SQL, , DAX, R or Python. -Technical Proficiency: Experience working with reporting software and other relevant technologies used to extract data and analyse data. Experience designing and developing data models in reporting software, -Analytical Expertise: Experienced level of analytical, research and problem-solving skills to provide value adding solutions and recommendations.
