Engineer manufacturing & applications for control: design, BOMs, quotes, customer support.

Tasks

-Editing and red-lining documentation -Use hands to finger, handle, or feel: Operates a computer and other office machinery - Constantly – at least 51% -Offer add-on and up-sell products that may benefit the customer and suggest alternative products when a customer requested product is not available -Generate and administer proposals and credit terms; prepare sales contracts for orders obtained -Establish, develop, and maintain excellent working relationships with all assigned and prospective customers, suppliers and co-workers -Prototype set up and production -Execute documented procedures on-site at customer facilities -Maintain current knowledge of market conditions and trends; keep management informed of local competition and market conditions -Interface with external and internal stakeholders, such as customers, sales, customer service and vendors to provide necessary engineering input and outputs -Review daily the Services Manufacturing Report -Negotiate setting up of new products, services, and contract items with sales support -Independently interpret and understand drawings and/or specifications. Follow processes and procedures per customer requirements -Assist and resolve customer requests and/or problems in a prompt and professional manner -Responsible for maintaining schedules, costs, bills of material, design, material and system level documentation, assembly and testing for assigned new projects -Follow up on all business leads assigned by their manager or given to them by the marketing department, technical department or by vendor partners -Oversee purchase, discount, and price files for customers; review files of existing customers as needed -Display or demonstrate product knowledge and emphasize saleable features that will transition to market growth -Utilize internal test equipment as required by the customer -Report all sales calls, telephone calls, joint calls, and customer activities in SMP within one week of activity

-Possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail. Passion for creating high quality designs with attention -Up to 10 pounds - Occasionally – up to 20% -Experience with Auto Cad and Cad-DXF Files -Exposed to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and/or exposure to heat and cold - Frequently – 21% to 50% -Handles or works with potentially dangerous equipment - None -Travels to offsite locations - Frequently – 21% to 50% -Walk: Must be able to move about inside/outside office or work location - Frequently – 21% to 50% -Control-specific software fundamentals -Talk, hear, taste, smell: Must be able to use senses to effectively communicate with co-workers and clients and detect hazardous conditions - Constantly – at least 51% -Up to 25 pounds - Occasionally – up to 20% -Associate's Degree - Preferred -Climb or balance: Must be able to ascend/descend on a ladder, forklift, pallet jack, or other warehouse equipment - Occasionally – up to 20% -Exposure to industrial Lockout Tag out standards and best practices preferred -2+ years of hands on experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment -Demonstrate core competency around Rockwell Automation products and associated manufacturing technology -Mechanical skills required -High School or GED - Required -Associate of Science Degree in Engineering or Technology -Sit: Must be able to remain in a stationary position - Frequently – 21% to 50% -Ability to read and comprehend dimensional drawings and procedures written in English -Up to 50 pounds - None -Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl: Must be able to crouch down to stock shelves, pick up boxes, or position oneself to maintain computers in the lab/under desks/in server closet - Occasionally – up to 20% -Advanced controls practices in these areas:
