The Role

Overview

Supervise daily asphalt paving crew, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance.

Tasks

-Uphold safety policies and ensure PPE and procedures are followed by all crew members. -Identify and resolve issues or conflicts on site promptly. -Monitor project timelines and adjust as needed to meet schedules. -Lead site setup, traffic control coordination, and crew safety briefings. -Maintain accurate daily logs, crew timecards, and production reports. -Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment: Constantly -Ensure proper execution of work according to job specifications, blueprints, and quality standards. -Coordinate crew tasks, assign labor roles, and oversee asphalt placement and compaction. -Oversee use of paving equipment such as pavers, rollers, and compactors. -Communicate effectively with project managers, inspectors, truck drivers, and subcontractors. -Adjusting, moving and lifting objects in all directions: Constantly -Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like: Occasionally -Supervise and direct all aspects of day-to-day paving crew operations.
