I&C Designer

Overview

Create & revise P&ID and PFD drawings using MicroStation, AutoCAD, and BIM tools.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Size flow meters and select appropriate meters. -Develop basic SCADA block diagrams. -Assist in the preparation of estimates and material lists with guidance from project engineers or project managers. -Assist in the development of instrumentation drawings, data sheets, I/O wiring diagrams, P&IDs, PDFs, and loop diagrams. -Develop control panel elevation drawings. -Assist in quality checking of drafted products and conformance with drawing production standards and project-specific CAD/BIM requirements. -Provide basic technical support for 2D schematic CAD applications. -Assemble typical details to support Instrumentation and Control drawings. -Utilize current drafting practices and tools for completion of assigned drafting tasks.

What You Bring

-Proficiency in the development of 2D Electrical and Instrumentation schematic drawings. -Proficiency in design and drafting. -Experience in working with multiple discipline projects. -Two-year technical or Associate Degree. -Understanding of basic network cabinets. -Proficient with MicroStation and AutoCAD. -Basic understanding of fiber optic cable routing. -Working knowledge of water, wastewater, and infrastructure design. -3-5 years of experience in engineering or related field. -Experience with instrumentation and controls in an electrical or mechanical capacity. -Familiarity with International Society of Automation (ISA) standards. -Good communication skills, both written and verbal. -Experience with AutoCAD Electrical and SolidWorks. -Working knowledge of P&ID CAD applications. -Basic understanding of the application of instrumentation controls. -Working knowledge of database software. -Fundamental understanding of converting data between MicroStation and AutoCAD. -High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
