Tasks

-Support the annual business planning, budgeting and reforecast processes. -Develop a deep understanding of business drivers, risks, and opportunities to influence financial and operational outcomes. -Ensure financial governance, compliance, and control standards are maintained in line with Network Rail policies. -Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasts, and performance analysis. -Identify and implement improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting to enhance efficiency and accuracy. -Work collaboratively with other Finance teams and stakeholders to share best practice and drive continuous improvement. -Partner with operational and project teams to provide financial advice, guidance, and analysis that supports effective decision-making. -Challenge and support budget holders to ensure robust financial management and value for money.

What You Bring

-Can build effective relationships with non-financial stakeholders and communicate complex information clearly. -Is part-qualified or qualified in a recognised accounting qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA), or has equivalent experience. -Significant experience in within relevant financial disciplines -Have demonstrable effective influencing skills at a senior level -Has strong analytical and excel skills and the ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insight. -Experience of Oracle based systems -Degree or equivalent qualification in finance and accounting or business management or experience -Understanding of project management principles and experience of managing complex projects
