- Collect data and assist with updates to environmental plans, including Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans.
- Assist with development and review of environmental permit applications and compliance plans.
- Obtain and maintain required certifications (e.g., HAZWOPER, RCRA).
- Conduct field inspections and environmental sampling at client sites throughout Nebraska and the broader region (up to 50% travel required).
- Oversee contractors performing major repairs or upgrades.
- Ensure projects adhere to established schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Prepare and maintain documentation, inspection logs, and operational reports.
- Provide environmental training on topics such as stormwater management and spill prevention.
- Collect routine operational data for water treatment systems and assist in troubleshooting and system optimization.
- Support preparation and submittal of regulatory reports such as DMRs, NPDES, RCRA, EPCRA/Tier II, and air quality reports.
- Perform basic system repairs (e.g., PVC piping, meter and valve replacements).
- Collaborate with project managers to complete compliance audits and environmental assessments.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interacting with clients and field personnel.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment and client-required random drug screenings.

- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Experience with water or wastewater treatment systems, environmental compliance inspections, or field sampling programs
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.
- Experience: 0–3 years of relevant professional experience.
