Overview

Oversee safety programs, training, inspections, and compliance on construction sites.

Tasks

-Mentors, coaches, provides feedback and evaluates performance of safety employees. -Ensures safety completion by reviewing the job hazard analysis for major phases of work. -Develops, organizes, and implements safety related programs that meet company safety standards. -Participates in regulatory agency inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. -Maintains contact with corporate insurance department to ensure proper documentation has been prepared and maintained on asset loss and workers compensation claims. -Performs and documents jobsite inspections and audits with a focus on hazard recognition and unsafe behaviors. -Coordinates and conducts safety meetings/training programs to ensure effective communication amongst employees.

What You Bring

-Certifications: Advanced safety certificate, CHST, ASP, CSP preferred -Education: High School Diploma or GED -1 year safety management experience in heavy civil construction
