Tasks

-Provide technical guidance and fostering a collaborative, innovative environment. -Perform and qualify detailed functions of BESS enclosure, Cable routing, wiring-harness, grounding & earthing -Ensure all designs adhere to relevant national and international codes and standards, such as IEC/EN, UL 9540, NFPA 855, and IEEE. Select and qualify materials and suppliers, due-diligence, ensuring high quality, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability. -Work for both AC/DC interfaces, to conceptualize the design with vendor. -Lead the electrical design of BESS product, including the creation of single-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, site layouts, cable and raceway sizing, and grounding designs. Develop and refine design specifications based on product requirements, industry standards (e.g., UL, IEC), and customer needs. -Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Mechanical/Thermal engineering, I&C engineering etc., and ensure seamless integration and manufacturability. -Ensure all the safety/hazard procedures & standards are complied with the product requirements. -Responsible for quality control of all deliverables within the scope of electrical engineering. -Oversee the creation and maintenance of detailed engineering documentation, including drawings, BOMs (Bills of Materials), and test reports. -Work with the Vendor to select and specify LV and MV electrical equipment specifications & datasheets, such as switchgear, transformers, inverters, circuit breakers, and protection relays, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

What You Bring

Ampin Energy is looking for an experienced BESS-Enclosure Electrical Design Lead (LV+MV) with a focus on LV and MV electrical systems for our Battery Energy Storage System product development. Responsible for the full product lifecycle, from conceptual design and technical studies to detailed engineering, testing, and support. This role requires a strong background in electrical power systems, load calculations and a commitment to designing safe, compliant, and highly efficient energy storage solutions. -Demonstrated experience in BESS development field is highly desirable. -Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. -Strong knowledge LV & MV equipment sizing, preparing load & datasheets technical drawings. -Superb communication and leadership skills, with a proven ability to work in a cross functional & dynamic team. -5+ years of experience in Electrical design, SLD, Cable-routing, testing procedures. -Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA) and experience with simulation tools. -Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome complex technical challenges.
